Since 2017, our successful Merino Runner line has contributed significantly to the company’s growth.

 

Position Profile

 

We are looking for an experienced Sneaker Designer (m/f/d) for women’s and men’s collections.

 

Employment type: Freelance or permanent position possible

 

Must-Have Qualifications

 

Professional Experience

 

At least 5–7 years of experience in sneaker/athletic footwear design Proven project experience with footwear brands Portfolio featuring realized products that have successfully launched to market Technical Expertise

 

Comprehensive knowledge of the entire product development process: from trend research and sketching to 3D rendering and production readiness Strong expertise in materials, especially textiles Experience working with Asian manufacturing partners Proficient in design software (Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino, CLO3D, or comparable programs) Solid understanding of tech packs, construction details, and manufacturing processes Nice-to-Have

 

Experience with sustainable/natural materials (Merino wool, recycled materials) Knowledge of the barefoot/minimal footwear segment Understanding of D2C brand management and e-commerce-specific requirements Experience with fast product cycles and agile development processes German language skills (not mandatory for freelance, advantageous for permanent employment) Personality Profile

 

Independent and structured working style Hands-on mentality with willingness to engage in operational processes Creativity combined with commercial thinking Strong communication skills for collaboration with international suppliers Affinity for premium/lifestyle brands and sustainable fashion Responsibilities

 

Development of innovative sneaker concepts for women and men Trend and market analysis, particularly US and EU markets Managing the process from initial sketch to production approval Close collaboration with the CEO/Head of Product Development and Asian manufacturing partners Preparation of technical documentation (tech packs, spec sheets) Material and color development What We Offer
